The African National Congress Women's League (ANCWL) condemns in strongest term the Caster Semenya media gender results reports.
The ANCWL questions the basis for the conduct of these tests. Furthermore, the human rights violation by IAAF for conducting these tests without prior concern from Caster or Athletics South Africa.
The ANCWL finds it regrettable that in pursuit of the test, IAAF failed to officially communicate the outcome of the results through proper channels.
Caster and family are put under unnecessary exposure and unnecessary media scrutiny.
The ANCWL stands behind Caster. She remains our golden girl and we remain proud of her.
