The National Executive Committee and the entire membership of the ANCWL would like to convey revolutionary greetings and best wishes to all comrades' delegates and leadership of COSATU gathered in Gallagher Estate.
This congress comes at a time when women of South Africa, across race, class, religion, age, disability background took a stand to join hands under the umbrella body of the Progressive Women's Movement of South Africa, in advancing the emancipation and empowerment of women more especially working class women and women in rural areas.
We therefore, call for the congress to declare their full support to this initiative and also encourage all stakeholders in the labour sector to collaborate with this progressive agenda.
We further believe that delegates in the 9th COSATU Congress, as they deliberate on issues, will do so in the good spirit of dialogue and ensure that at the end of this congress, workers of South Africa are united more than ever before of which it will be good for our young democracy.
