The Security Council this afternoon began consideration, at the request of the African States, of "the question of South Africa". Statements were made by the representative of Mauritius, as representative of the Chairman of the Organization of African Unity (OAU); by the representative of Nigeria, as the Chairman of theSpecial Committee against Apartheid and also as the current Chairman of the African Group; by the representative of Sri Lanka, as the representative of the Chairman of the Group of Non-Aligned Countries; and by the representative of Egypt. The Council also heard a statement, under rule 39 of its rules of procedure, by Potlako K. Leballo, Acting President of the Azanian national liberation movement (PAC) |
