The Special Political Committee this afternoon heard statements from several non-governmental organizations in connection with item 28 of the General Assembly's agenda, "Policies of apartheid of the Government of South Africa". The non-government organizations were heard in accordance with a decision of the General Assembly that representatives of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and of national liberation movements recognized by the OAU would participate in the discussion on the item in plenary meetings, and that organizations having a special interest in the question would be heard by the Special Political Committee |
