CAPTION BACKGROUND= The Second International Conference of Trade Unions against Apartheid, aimed at intensifying world-wide action to end apartheid, was held on 10 and 11 June in the Assembly Hall of the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The General Assembly at its 1976 session authorized its Special Committee against Apartheid to convene the Conference, in response to a call by the Workers' Group at the ILO General Conference in June 1976. The first such Conference was held in June 1973
