The General Assembly this afternoon held a memorial meeting for the late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy of the United States, who was assassinated on 22 November in Dallas, Texas. Statements in tribute to the memory of President Kennedy were made by the President of the Assembly, the Secretary-General, the Vice-President of the Assembly, the Chairman of the seven Main Committees of the Assembly, and seven past Presidents of the Assembly. A final statement was made by the representative of the United States. |
