VOTER MISPERCEPTIONS REGARDING THE RIGHT TO VOTE 

Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa, ANC candidate Mayor for Tshwane has expressed concern regarding misperceptions amongst many voters regarding their right to vote in the local government elections on 5 December.

"It is notable that many voters do not know that those voters who voted in last year's national elections are automatically registered as voters for Local Government Elections on 5 December this year and that they can vote at exactly the same place they voted year."

"We urge the media, the IEC and all other relevant organisations and institutions to educate and inform voters of this fact."

"We would like to encourage all registered voters to exercise their democratic right to vote on 5 December."
