Fr Smangaliso Mkhatshwa's visit to Ford Motor Corporation (SAMCOR)

Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa (ANC Mayoral Candidate for the Tshwane (Pretoria) Metro) visited the Ford Motor Company in Watloo today to assess their labour education programs.

He was shown around the plant by management and labour leaders and introduced to Fords HIV/AIDS education program.

Father Mkhatshwa expressed his delight in the efficient health educational program for the workers. He also emphasised the role that a company like Ford is playing in not only providing jobs for the people of Pretoria but also by doing their part in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Big industries in Pretoria should be supported by local government because they provide a service to thousands of people through the creation of jobs, skills training and usually other significant programs like FORD'S HIV/AIDS program.

He also indicated that he would like to see other big and small companies doing the same and if they had any queries they could contact him.
