Statement on the death of ANC MP John Schippers
31 January 2009
African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament (MP) John Schippers (65) has died in a car accident near Wolseley.
Said ANC Western Cape provincial secretary Sipho Kroma: "The ANC in the Western Cape mourns the death of John Schippers. He was a humble, hard working and much loved public representative who was a pillar of his community. He died in the course of carrying out ANC duties on his way from his home in Tulbach to Worcester. The ANC conveys its deepest condolences to his wife Doreen, sons Donnovan and Brenvill and other members of his family and friends."
