ANC welcomes Zille admittance of error in cabinet appointment

The African National Congress (ANC) welcomes the admittance by the Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille, that it was an error to appoint the male only provincial cabinet. The ANC hopes that going forward the Premier and her party will seek ways of redressing this unfortunate epoch.
The ANC also acknowledge the call by COSATU to proceed to file an application in terms of Section 77 of the Labour Relations Act, in an attempt to get the parties to the table, with Nedlac as mediators.
