New SA in it's full glory after you have made all
sacrifices. We share the same birth month. My birthday is on
July 13. We have met on more than one occassion. I was the
branch chairperson of the Woodlands High School SADTU site
in Mitchell's Plain. You came to visit the school in 1995
and also visited the People's Centre in Woodlands in 1994. I
have been a member of the ANC since my high school student
years way back in 1976 and campaign vehemently against the
forces of apartheid during my turbulent years as a black
student at the University of Stellenbosch (1986 to 1988)
where I established the Black Students Organization of
Stellenbosch. The Eastern Michigan University offered me a
graduate assistanship in August 1997 to pursue a Master's
degree in Sport Administration. Yes, I was a fierce opponent
of the then established and racial sport, and was one of the
chief negotiators in the formation of the United School
Sport of South Africa. I have been in United States for only
my first year and have decided to pursue this Master's
program in order to fill the shoes of the next Minister of
Sport(year 2003). Yes, that's right, come Elections in the
year 2003, I would like to serve in parliament. I have
achieved a lot already in the last two years partly due to
your encouragement. I have made no secret about my political
affiliation in the past nor in the future. I am and will be
a loyal member to the only democratic and non-racial
organization in South Africa. I can and will achieve my
goals in life with the dedication and commitment to my
country South Africa. I have stood on numerous platforms
over the last ten months in United States and have made no
secret of my goals in life. Yes, I want to soak up as much
knowledge and experience in this country in order to share
it with my country citizens on my return home within 2 years
time. We need the Sport Administration expertise and I will
be able to empower our nation where it's needed. I will with
other South Africans celebrate your birthday and keep you in
