I never thought that in my lifetime, that I would have ever had the pleasure of meeting you, the fact that I was able to vote on the 27th April 1994, the fact that on the 10th June 1998, I will witness the game between Bafana Bafana and France. In my very small way, I played my part in the liberation of this country. I also know that many other have, and also know that thousands have died in the struggle for freedom. We also cannot forget our leaders like Comrades OR Tambo, Joe Slovo and others. All that considered, you are without doubt the inspiration of our people. You are the pinnacle of hope not only for us as South Africans, but for Africa and the rest of the world. I do know of the major responsibility that rest on you as our leader, but I really and truly believe that it is time to put your feet up and relax.
