NP KEPT ALL ITS PROMISES, SAYS DE KLERK THOHOYANDOU, N Province Sept 28 Sapa Deputy President F W de Klerk on Thursday said his National Party had kept its promises and scrapped all discriminatory laws. Addressing NP local government election candidates at Thohoyandou in Northern Province, de Klerk said the NP had the experience of ruling the country. The time had arrived for the needs of people, especially in Northern Province, to be looked at. The reconstruction and development programme belonged to all political parties, de Klerk said. All people, regardless of colour, had to make it work. De Klerk said the political tide was changing to favour the NP, which believed in law and order and discipline. It also believed children had to respect state property and the authority of their parents and teachers. South Africa should never again experience apartheid or racism, de Klerk told about 800 people at the meeting. He was accompanied by his wife Marike and MPs AndrewFowrey nd Col M G Ramarisa.
