ANC BRANCH CRITICISES PREMIERS FOR STALLING ELECTIONS ERMELO Sept 27 Sapa The African National Congress branch in Mpumalanga has criticised premiers Mathews Phosa and Ngoako Ramathlodi for allegedly stalling the local government elections in the Groblersdal and Marble Hall areas. The two towns are the only regions in Mpumalanga which will not be staging local elections on November 1, African Eye News Service reported on Wednesday. The chairman of the Mpumalangan local government managing committee, Neels Zaayman, said the unresolved border dispute between the Mpumalanga and Northern Province had forced officials to postpone elections in the area. Mpumalanga ANC spokesman Vusi Sibiya said: "We call upon the leaders of both provinces to desist from their narrow political and provincial interests and live up to the interest of the people and the nation as a whole."
