VOTERS ROLL CHAOS IN JOHANNESBURG, SAYS IFP JOHANNESBURG Sept 23 Sapa Inkatha Freedom Party spokesman in Gauteng Gerda Bekker on Saturday claimed there was "chaos" with the voters roll in Johannesburg for the local government elections on November 1. Bekker said the fact that acting head of Johannesburg's Metropolitan Administration Hillow Maeko had confirmed the exclusion of some hostel dwellers from the roll backed the party's claims about the omission from the roll of hostel dwellers and other IFP supporters. She said an assurance had been made that the position would be rectified by the end of the weekend, but claimed the omissions had seriously jeopardised the IFP's efforts to obtain the prescribed number of signatures required to enable its candidates to stand in the elections.
