MOOSA CONFIDENT ELECTIONS WILL GO AHEAD ON NOV 1.

Deputy local government minister Vallie Moosa on Thursday said
he was confident the local government elections would go ahead on
November 1 as scheduled.

Moosa was visiting the Eastern Cape to assess the readiness of
the region to hold elections.

He met members of the Wild Coast Joint Monitoring Board in
Umtata and praised them for their work despite the lack of
resources.

He said elections would go ahead but exemptions would be
granted to regions that applied for them.
