Houghton, Marlboro, Highlands Park, Kew, Bramley, Johannesburg,

The Winning Party

We are the winning party! The African National Congress is the
only political party with the will to bring a better life to all in
our province. We brought about political change at national and
provincial level - our challenge now is to repeat this at local
level. The local government elections is about empowering our people
to govern themselves.

Vote for a strong party

Whilst other parties will be concentrating on the retention of
privileges for their minority support-base, the African National
Congress will ensure the fair and equitable distribution of
financial and other resources to all communities. The ANC stands for
strong metropolitan and local government which is economically and
financially viable; efficient in the administration and rendering of
services to all in our province.

The right candidates

The ANC is putting forward the communities best candidates will
represent you on the local council structures. We have completed
several lists for ward candidates and those that will
represent the ANC on the metropolitan council and its
sub-structures. These candidates are now ready and will be coming to
you to note your concerns and expectations from local government.

Non-racial Party

The ANC is the only political party supported and trusted by all
South Africans and the rest of the world. We are a truly non-racial
organisation, with a proven track record. The ANC has the best
calibre of men and women from across the racial spectrum - whites,
coloureds, Indians and Africans. Our principle of a united,
non-racial democratic South Africa based on universal franchise, now
forms the basis of the new constitution.
