ANC sends well wishes to Bafana Bafana
The African National Congress (ANC) sends well wishes to Bafana Bafana in their weekend encounter with Norway. Bafana Bafana will be playing against Norway in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday (28 March 2009).
In a show of support for the national soccer team, ANC President Jacob Zuma will attend the match to inspire a South African victory in Rustenburg.
As we prepare to host the world soccer event in 2010, the ANC calls on all South Africans to rally - in their droves - behind Bafana Bafana players and national coach Joel Santana. We have noted the vast improvement in the team's performance in recent international games and believe that Bafana Bafana are on course to do more.
When we won the historic bid to host the event - becoming the first African country to do so - we recognised this as a victory for the entire continent. A victory for any African country in 2010 should, therefore, be hailed as a victory for the continent Back to top
