Public Protector`s response to our concerns

The Office of the ANC Chief Whip notes the response of the Public Protector to our criticism of her decision to send a letter to the President. We vehemently reject her wild and baseless accusation that we don`t respect the Constitution and that we are interfering in her lawful duties. It has become that Office`s habit to label and demonise those who disagree with it on matters of principle.

ANC will not stand idly by as democratic institutions are attacked

The Office of the ANC Chief Whip rejects suggestions from some analysts and commentators seeking to pin the blame for the eruption of hooliganism on Thursday on the Speaker of the National Assembly and the President. A misinformation being peddled here is that because the Speaker comes from the ANC, she is biased and acted to protect the President from accountability. On the other hand, the fabrication goes on to allege that the President failed to respond sufficiently to the question hence the rowdy behaviour.

ANC submit names for aD HOC Committee & Powers & Privileges Commitee

The Office of the ANC Chief Whip has submitted to the Speaker of the National Assembly a list of its Members of Parliament who will represent the organisation in the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee established to consider the President`s report on security upgrades at his Nkandla private residence.


Alexandria ANC PCO donates rugby kit to school

The Parliamentary Constituency Office of the ANC in Alexandria has donated a rugby kit to Ukhanyo High School on Thursday 31st May 2012 at the school premises. The kit was presented by Brian Maloni who administers the activities of the Alexandria PCO.

Thus our national liberation struggle was waged for the liberation of all South Africans, both black and white. The struggle was not against white people. It was against the apartheid system.
