Disruption of Parliament due to staff strike

Da Chief Whip has done well to expose his party's pitiful perfromance
DA chief whip John Steenhuisen has made some startling boast that his party has written more questions to the executive than the ANC. This, he bizarrely concludes, is evidence that the ANC has not performed well in Parliament. It beggars belief that a chief whip of the official opposition would exhibit such astonishing cluelessness regarding parliament's oversight work. Anyone with the flimsiest imagination of the functioning of Parliament would know simply writing many questions is not a yardstick of good performance. If it were, all of us would sit at home and conduct oversight through written correspondence.
Agreement between Parliament & Nehawu
The Office of the ANC Chief Whip welcomes the resolution of the labour dispute between the management of Parliament and Nehawu, which would see Parliament staff reporting back to work tomorrow after being on strike since last week.
DA's disgraceful opposition to language policy change at Stellies
The Office of the ANC Chief Whip notes the announced change in the language policy at the Stellenbosch University, which would see all learning at the institution being offered in English as a common language in the country. The institution's management further announced that "substantial academic support" would be provided in other South African languages in accordance with students' needs.

Thus our national liberation struggle was waged for the liberation of all South Africans, both black and white. The struggle was not against white people. It was against the apartheid system.
