26 October 2009
The African National Congress (ANC) wishes well all the full-time (581 573), repeat (38 595) and as well as part time learners who have today, the 26 October 2009, commenced with their matriculation examination.
This examination is but one of the ways to attain a better life for learners, their families and South Africa at large. The outcome of this examination will determine the learners' choice of career and their future prospects for self-actualisation.
We call upon all parents, relatives, teacher and friend to rally around these learners and emotionally support them throughout this sensitive period in their life time. This support should also be extended throughout the examination period also during the release of the results. This will ensure that there is no learner pressured regardless of the outcome of the examination.
