The African National Congress (ANC) has noted media reports on yesterday's incident at Absa Stadium in Durban where some members of the crowd broke into a song because they could not hear the Freedom Day address by President of the Republic, Kgalema Motlanthe.
While some reports highlighted the cause of the brief interruption, which was poor sound system, others failed to do so, creating an impression that the audience did not approve of Motlanthe's address.
The ANC has zero-tolerance for any display of ill discipline within its ranks and the poor sound incident is regrettable.
