14 April 2009
The African National Congress calls on all South Africans who will be voting overseas tomorrow (15 April 2009) to vote for the ANC, the only party that has presented a coherent and achievable vision for all South Africans.
The first votes of the 2009 election will be cast tomorrow at South African missions across the globe. It marks the formal start of a much-anticipated election, one that will determine the country's direction well into the future. The ANC expects a massive turnout when voters in the country go to the polls next Wednesday, 22 April 2009.
Among all the parties contesting this election, the ANC is the only one that has paid attention to the real issues that people face. The ANC has identified five priority areas for the next five years. These include e the creation of decent work and sustainable livelihoods, education, health, rural development and the fight against crime and corruption.
These are matters of concern to all South Africans, either directly or indirectly.
The ANC calls on all those who will be voting tomorrow to vote to secure a better life for themselves and generations to come.
