The mortal remains of Job Tabane, known in exile as Cassius Maake, will arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Friday (20 June 2008) between 09h30 and 10h00.
A guard of honour consisting of ANC and MK Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) leaders will receive his remains. A memorial service will be held at Wattville Daycare Centre, Benoni at 11h00.
His remains were exhumed in Zambia. He will be reburied in Rustenburg on Saturday 28 June at an event to be addressed by ANC President Jacob Zuma.
Tabane was born on 6 December 1942, in Maile (Diepkuil) village near Rustenburg. He left the country in 1964 through Botswana to join the liberation movement in exile. He was assassinated with his comrade, Peter Sello Motau, in Swaziland on 9 July 1987.
