The African National Congress is saddened by the untimely death of Mlungisi Sisulu, son of ANC National Executive Committee member Max Sisulu and Elinor Sisulu.
Mlungisi Sisulu, the grandson of late ANC stalwart Walter and Albertina Sisulu, died on Thursday, January 03 2008.
Sisulu, First Secretary of the South African Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan, was on a visit to London at the time of his death.
He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1999 and had previously served as the First Secretary in the South African Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic.
The ANC extends its heartfelt condolences to the Sisulu family, his colleagues at the Department of Foreign Affairs and friends.
We pay homage to this servant of the people whose dedication and commitment to serve our nation with honour and integrity will be missed.
The ANC will forever treasure the contribution made by Mlungisi and the rest of the Sisulu family in the struggle for liberation and the building of our democracy.
May His Soul Rest in Peace.
