Dumisani Makhaye, a true South African patriot and a courageous freedom fighter, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 30 October 2004. The funeral will be held at KwaMashu Stadium in Durban.
The main address will be delivered by ANC President Thabo Mbeki. The funeral will be attended, among others, by members of the ANC National Executive Committee.
The funeral will be an opportunity for the people of South Africa to bid farewell to a revolutionary hero, whose commitment to their cause and to the cause of liberation was unflinching. The ANC will bid farewell and pay tribute to a leader whose commitment, passion and discipline was an asset and an inspiration.
