ANC PEC TO MEET IN THE KAROO

The ANC Provincial Executive Committee will travel to the Karoo this weekend for its monthly meeting. PEC members will address branches in the region on Friday evening 12 May and then travel to Oudtshoorn for the PEC meeting on Saturday 13 May.

A PEC delegation will also attend the General Council meeting of all branches the Karoo region on Saturday afternoon. Some PEC members will also stay behind for the AGM of the Oudtshoorn branch on Sunday afternoon.

Issues to be addressed at the monthly PEC meeting will include:

• discussion of the NEC report including preperations for the National General Council,
• Civil Rights campaign against racism in the Western Cape, including the May focus on farmworkers and the agricultural sector
• preperation for local government elections including ANC response to the proposed demarcation of wards
