The African National Congress in Gauteng will launch the second leg of its membership recruitment programme on Sunday, the 5th of March 2000. The campaign, which was conceived in 1995, aims to increase visible presence of the ANC at ground level, strengthen branches of the ANC, educate and raise the political consciousness or our members as well as to enhance the strength of the ANC in areas where we have little or no support.
The launch will be held at the Braamfontein Recreation Centre starting at 09h30 and it will be attended by all Provincial leaders, representatives from the NEC, RECs and our more than 230 branches in the Province. Cultural items will be rendered including performances by Blondie Makhene.
