STATEMENT BY EBRAHIM RASOOL ON THE EVE OF ELECTION '99

It is time for all the people of the Western Cape to come home to the ANC, an organisation that has fought against racism, division and dominance by any group for its entire history. An organisation that protects the language and religious rights of all, the Venda, the Afrikaner, the Muslim, the Jew, the Christian and the traditionalist.

Vote for the ANC because the Western Cape deserves better. Together we will speed up change in the Western Cape.

The ANC's Five Pledges for the Western Cape:

• Reduce crime in the Western Cape, working with National Government
  
• Speed up housing delivery
  
• Grow the economy, create new jobs & business opportunities
  
• Equalise resources for all schools
  
• Tough measures to protect the environment
