OPPOSITION USING "MOVING PARLIAMENT GEVAAR" AS ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Issued by ANC D.I.P. Western Cape

Commenting on the above, Mr. Cameron Dugmore, ANC Provincial spokesperson stated:

"The ANC in the Western Cape is a member of the Citizens Alliance for Parliament (CAP) and has campaigned consistently to ensure that parliament stays in Cape Town.

"This campaign has been successful in ensuring that the view of the province has won broad support within the ANC.

"The NP's attempt to resurrect the issue by referring to nameless diplomats whispering at cocktail parties is laughable. Clearly Mr. Morkel is incapable of sober-minded thought.

"Other political parties, like the NP, have nothing else to campaign about and can no longer use their "swart-" and "rooigevaar" tactics and are now reverting to using the "moving parliament gevaar".

"Instead of creating side issues they should rather be concentrating their efforts on working together in finding solution to the problems that face the people of this province, problems which they have failed to address in their 5 years of rule in the Western Cape."
