THE TREE HAS FALLEN

The tree of yesteryear and yesterday
Is no more, yes it's no more!
Hidden in the cold womb of the earth,
For the day of its demise has dawned!

No more shades against the sun,
The comfort in times of distress has gone,
The shelter in stormy weathers is no more,
'Cause the tree has fallen!

The tree that was, is no more,
It's gone, gone forever!
Fallen never to rise again!
Oh yes, the tree has fallen!

It has fallen to wait
For the day of Armageddon!
Waiting peacefully
Till the day of resurrection!
