We received the sad news of the passing away of Comrade Walter Sisulu, former General Secretary and Deputy President of ANC, former member of the CC of SACP and distinguished figure of the world revolutionary movement.
Comrade Walter Sisulu has been connected with critical periods of the ANC struggles.
His contribution has been decisive in the built-up of the revolutionary alliance between the national liberation movement, the communist party and the trade union movement.
We would like to express our solidarity and our sincere condolences to the popular movement of your country, the family, the relatives, friends and comrades of comrade Walter Sisulu.
