'The archive of the Anti-Apartheid Movement came to the Bodleian Library in 1996 and the project to sort and catalogue it was completed last year. The archive is now available to researchers and has a searchable online catalogue. My talk will describe the structure of the archive and types of information contained in it and will also describe three related collections at the library, those of End Loans to Southern Africa, the Bishop Ambrose Reeves Trust and Archbishop Trevor Huddleston.'
I wondered whether it would be a good idea to bring some visual items from the archive to have on display during the day. I have about twenty duplicate posters and also a set of photographs covering the history of the Anti-Apartheid Movement - these are all laminated so are ideal for displaying. They could be laid out on tables or propped against the wall and would give people something to look at during breaks. Would the room where the workshop is being held be suitable for this? I just thought I would suggest it but let me know what you think.
