Managing councilor performance in the ANC
The organisational work that councilors are required to perform in accordance with the agreement include visiting households, the functioning of ward committees, as well as community policing forums and school governing bodies, participating in the ANC branches and recruiting members. Finally, the reports also focused on ethical issues and whether councilors are doing any courses as part of self-development.

The challenge of youth unemployment and youth wage subsidy
It cannot be that the DA did not expect a mass and angry response to the march, from COSATU and its allies. This is not merely because of the antagonism between these two organisations which, in broad terms, stand at the extreme ends of South Africa`s fault-lines of race and class. It is also because the issue at hand - about measures required urgently to deal with the challenge of youth unemployment including a youth wage subsidy - is as critical as it is urgent and emotive.
Social Transformation
The centenary celebrations of the African National Congress offer an opportunity to analyse progress on realising the historic mission of our movement the ANC for "the liberation of Africans in particular and Blacks in general from political and socio economic bondage...[by] uplifting the quality of life of all South Africans, especially the poor, the majority of whom are African and female".
Free State leads the way
PEC member Seiso Mohai writes that the centenary will be the biggest political festival in the life of our movement and a watershed moment in the history of our country. To meet these challenges, the centenary celebrations should unleash the spirit of service and voluntarism that made the ANC a true parliament of the people. The Freestate and indeed the whole country, he wrote, will therefore not be the same after this year
Released after the NEC meeting which was held on the 2nd - 5th February 2012
The NEC Bulletin was initiated to ensure that members of the ANC and Alliance partners are informed of the decisions taken by the National Executive Committee
This is important in that the NEC is the highest decision making organ of the organisation
